It's not only my idea. And I'm also an English teacher. Cartoons are not the best way, that's what I said and that's what I was taught at university, too by linguists... So believe me... Movies and books are much better.
This is your idea.I dont agree with you, and i think lots of other people dont share your opinion. And a lot of English teacher in England and in HUngary as well told me the same. Watch cartoons.And i think all of the possibilities can be useful. Just do it. But subtitled movie is a good idea.
yeah, i watch a lot of movies, and shows in BBC. i'm, looking for websites, which i can speak with english natives, but i've just not find nothing...:( i think, the real speaking is the best, but i haven't got oppurtunity for this...

Reading is the best way to learn a language.
Watching cartoons is a bad idea, because it's very important to see how to form the words (with your mouth, lips...), and to see that you need real people, not cartoon figures. On the other hand, most cartoons are for children, the voices are distorted and the language is not everyday speach.
It's much better to watch movies, especially subtitled ones!

why are you doing now? are you visiting the university?
It is not planned to go to the UK again, probably just for visit my friends who i met there. Although sometimes i really miss the times what i lived through there.
(my big dream is to get to America, but it is just stay(?) a dream)

i learnt 4 years in the secondary school, and then i had a private teacher (not for a long time), and i spent one year in the UK.

That is the best i suggest you to watch TV to improve your English, in turn i very rarely do the same. But in the future i will try to do it! :)

You are right agis. And everybody says that to watch cartoons is a really good way to start. I think it would be better if you started from the beggining like cartoons. And then CNN and BBC would come.
I suggest you to go abroad to be an au pair for example. I spent a really wonderful year in England as an au pair. It was one of the best periods of my life. My English is not so good yet, but it was a really good experience from every point of view.
well, tka an advice. watch english spoken TV. e.g. BBC CNN MGM. An easy way to practice.
and, i would like to travel to england, to work, and i must to learn english for that.
yeah, but it not so long, if you see that, if somebody learn english about 15 years, for exaple, there are a lot of things, what he can't know. and i can't to practice it, because i haven't got enough money for teachers, and i don't know better idea...
