Hi!

I would like to join you.

Shall I ask somebody to explain me something?i've got a question which (what?) i am never sure in. Actually i have no idea how to use these.

So the Question is the next: what is the difference between supposed to, meant to, is going to?

Cause i always learn about them, but it wasn't succesful to understand the explanations until this time.

oh, i'm wathcing her little son, he is beautiful. i'm studiing art, but it's terrible, because my teacher is untalented in her job, and she really nervous, she just always shouts, and flings at us her keys, rulers, chalks, or what she finds in the classroom...yeah, english is a really important thing, i think...i would like to take a language-exam, but it's so far, because i haven't got money for extra language lessons...:( why that, i would like to go to the UK, to learn english, and to work like a babysitter.

I like teaching. Of course there are some problematic kids and you really need good nerves and a lot of patience, but most kids are OK, I love most of them.

I didn't want to be a teacher. My class at sec. school was specialized in English and German. First I wanted to study Art, but I wasn't that talented... My favourite was Literature, but I thought with a degree in Literature my only possibilty was to teach... But with languages you can do a lot of things! But in the end I ended up as a teacher...:)))

2010. márc. 2. 13:21
this is true, the life is hard anyway, for everyone, but i think, teachers job is really...i don't know right word for this in english..."embert próbáló". so you have to be really patient, and calm with students, and i can't imagine that, how can stand this, for example, our teachers in our school. this is a really hard job, i believe. in spite of that, i like teach younger children too. have you always would like to be teacher?

I work in a secondary school, but I also worked part-time in language schools.

But now I'm out of work, I've been at home with my son for nearly three years.

Life is hard for everyone.:)

érettségi:

you can say school-leaving exam.

The English one is called GCE or GCSE exam, but that's different from our "érettségi".

That's the best way to learn a foreign language, but unfortunately not many of us have the opportunity...

Actually, I'm a teacher of English (and German), so I have to know the grammar...;)

(sorry, if I use the grammar badly. You correct my mistakes, please, because I'm just learning English now, and I would like to go to the UK too, when I take my érettségi:) exams.)

At least someone knows the grammar here :)

I did't speak English when I moved to the UK and sometimes I have no idea what is the grammar "behind" the sentence, I just say it the way it sounds good to me. I've learnt English from Allan (my partner) and got to the point that I'm able to think in English when I talk to him and change back to Hungarian when I talk to my mum (we live together with my family - not for long, I hope). So I never think about the grammar when I'm speaking.

Persze, egyes szám, de ha visszautalunk, akkor többes számot kell használni, pont azért, mert nem tudni, hogy he vagy she. Ezért "they". Nem kell érteni, egyszerűen ez a szabály.:)

Nyelvvizsgákon tesztekben mindig benne van, főleg question tag-eknél, pl.:

Anybody can do it, can't THEY?

Ez így helyes.:)

2010. márc. 1. 17:12

sorry, but I don't understand too...

"somebody", etc., are singular, or no? why have to use "they" after those?

217. egypt (válaszként erre: 212. - KékZsebElefánt)
2010. márc. 1. 16:01
After some/any/no-body/one you should use 'they', not he/she. 'They' is the correct usage.
